The NRMA Insurance Broncos’ new home will be known as the Clive Berghofer Centre.

The club’s new training, administration and community facility at Red Hill is now complete and administration staff have moved in, with the football department to follow in coming weeks.

Players will be training at the new facility by the end of preseason, once the new turf has been bedded down over coming months. It will be the first time in the Broncos’ 30-year history that all departments of the club are under the one roof.

All levels of Government have played a role in delivering the facility along with many members and supporters who have donated to our capital campaign to fund the $27 million facility.

One of those long-time members is Clive Berghofer, whose multi-million dollar contribution as part of an advertising and naming rights agreement will see the building named the Clive Berghofer Centre.

Mr Berghofer has a long history of connection to the Broncos as a member and supporter along with his links through the Toowoomba Clydesdales when they were a Broncos feeder Club.

Brisbane Broncos CEO Paul White said: “Clive has been a life-long supporter of rugby league and a long-term member of the Brisbane Broncos, so it is fitting that our new building will proudly carry his name – the Clive Berghofer Centre will bring all the various elements of the club together under one roof for the very first time in history.

“Clive has always taken an interest the club’s community involvement, from junior game development, to work with a wide range of charities, and our rapidly expanding indigenous programs in schools across the state and northern NSW.

“The Advertising and Naming rights agreement represents Clive’s and the Broncos shared desire to create an enduring legacy of opportunity, aspiration, and hope for the community.”

“Clive has demonstrated outstanding leadership with his contribution and we thank him for his desire to play such a big part in the future of our great club in the form of the Clive Berghofer Centre.”
