JOSH McGuire says he will remember the sacrifices his father and all armed services personnel have made when he runs out in the Broncos’ first ever Anzac jersey tonight.

With the NRL’s official ANZAC Round kicking off tonight, the Broncos will wear a jersey that includes a famous ANZAC scene through the middle of the jersey.

McGuire’s father had a 29-year career as a soldier, including tours to Afghanistan, Timor and the Solomon Islands.

“Dad was in the army for a long time so it is a special moment for our family,” said McGuire in Sydney this morning.

“It is a chance to celebrate the people who gave a bit more than the average.

“I know my Dad is excited – he has already hit me up to get my jersey after the game.”

On Thursday night the Mates4Mates organisation, which supports wounded, injured or ill Defence Force Personnel, will be the Broncos’ official charity for the match against the Panthers.
