Does the club need to reinvent itself?
I don’t think so. I think what we’re doing right now is working for us and we just need to keep on building on that heading into the Origin period.
The playing group were supportive of Des in the off-season, do you want that support back from the club?
You have to be a realist. Football is a business these days and if you’re going to have a player like Aaron Woods come to the club, than players have got to move on. It’s up to the club to decide and we have just got to focus on football and winning games.
How do you rate your own form?
I feel I have been holding my own. I’ve managed to grab a couple of tries here and there, so it’s been good.
Have you noticed the stability improve after Des’ signing?
There was plenty going on before Des signed. We have won three games off the back of his signing, but when your winning games those headlines don’t come up as much. We realise that as a playing group and it’s about going out each week and performing the best we can to try and get the win.
Is an 80 minute performance the focus on Sunday?
We probably haven’t had an 80 minute performance all year. We’ve been good in our second halves over the last three weeks and we have let ourselves down in the first halves. It’s about stringing both halves together and making sure we get that 80 minute performance.
What are you expecting from Mitchell Moses?
There’s been a bit written about him over the past month and I guess the only time he can get away from all the news is when he is on the football field. As a player you want to go out and make sure you’re doing your bit for the team. He had a lot of speculation about him last week and he still played a good game for the Tigers. He’s still a vital part of their team and we need to show him plenty of respect.
What do you expect from the Tigers this week?
I think the whole side will be up for the match this week. They would have been disappointed with their last 20 minutes against the Eels last week. It’s Sunday afternoon footy and it’s good to throw the ball around. I’m sure they will be excited just as we are, to play and try and get the win.
