GAME DAY INFO: Eels v Panthers, Round Eight

The Parramatta Eels will commemorate ANZAC Day with a special ceremony against the Penrith Panthers at ANZ Stadium. We will unite during this game to honour the sacrifice of the ANZACs, and past and present servicemen and women with a Salute to Service.

Please join us at ANZ Stadium this Saturday as we take on our rivals in the West, and help cheer your mighty Parramatta Eels team to a consecutive victory this week!

  • Gates Open: 12:35pm
  • NYC kick off: 12:40pm
  • Pre-game show: 2:35pm
  • ANZAC ceremony: 2:50pm
  • NRL kick off: 3:00pm

ANZAC Day Ceremony

The players will enter the field side-by-side, accompanied by our Shine Lawyers Team of the Week – the U11 Winston Hills Tigers. Forming a guard of honour will be representatives from the Army, Navy and Air Force, NSW Fire & Rescue and NSW Ambulance. We will also honour HMAS Parramatta who will be raising the Blue & Gold Army flag.

Once the players have entered the field they will take positions in front of the Australian and New Zealand flags and an official commemorative service will commence which will include:  

  • The Ode
  • The Last Post
  • Moment’s Silence
  • Rouse
  • National Anthems of New Zealand and Australia

RSL Defence Care will also be roaming the concourse with bucket collection from 1:30pm.

As a token of appreciation and thanks, the Parramatta Eels Club is offering free GA entry for Defence Personnel who show their ID at the gate. This includes Current Defence Personnel with their official Defence ID and Defence Personnel with a ‘Returned from Active Service’ badge.

Members Lounge ’47

Eels Members have access to their exclusive Members Bar, Members Lounge ’47. The Members Loungue will be MC’d by Sarah Forster, and will feature a live band, member giveaways, and post-game player appearances, plus FREE pre-game food catering.

This week will feature a “Kids Corner” with pom-pom making and banner making from 1:30pm – 3:00pm.

Members Lounge ’47 is located at Aisle 127 of ANZ Stadium.

Merchandise

Merchandise is available at the game in-stadium at Aisle 104 and 127.

Membership

The Parramatta Eels Membership Team will have a number of locations at ANZ Stadium, including our Member Service windows at Gates B/C (eastern side) and Gate H.

The Membership team will also have a presence in-stadium at Aisle 104 and 127.

Entertainment

Various sections of the precinct will feature plenty of activities for the kids, with a kids zone that includes face painters, jumping castles and plenty more, plus our mascots Sparky and Sparkles and the new Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders squad who will be roaming the precinct before kick-off.

During half-time, we’ll have a special live performance by “The Regimental Band of the First Fifteenth Royal NSW Lancers”, and a Junior League Battle of the West on the field during half-time between Parramatta and Penrith Juniors.

Junior League

To celebrate Round One of Junior League, the Parramatta Eels are offering Panther’s Junior League players under the age of 16 FREE General Admission entry. All you need to do to claim your Free Entry, is to show your Junior League ID card at Gate J or K along with an adult ticket to the game.

With every home game, Sparky’s Brigade members can use their card to gain free general admission entry. You do need to pre-register your attendance under the Game Registrations tab. Mum or dad will enter using the free adult ticket they collect on game day or a ticket that they have purchased.

Community Partner:

Our new Community Partner, Life Education will be there with its mobile learning centre and famous mascot ‘Harold’, the healthy giraffe. Plus check out some of our other community and corporate partners; CareFlight, Shine Lawyers and betting.club who will be there on the day!

Getting to the Game:

Parramatta Eels offer an integrated transport system including rail and “Eels Express” shuttle buses for home games at ANZ Stadium. This gives Eels Members and ticket holders free transport by rail on the Sydney Metropolitan Line from as far as the Hunter and Southern Highlands and on selected “Eels Express” chartered buses which will run on three bus routes from the Hills district in north-western Sydney.
